Bertie

Cute as a button, Bertie is a fun-loving little character with a big personality and a real zest for life. He’s friendly, outgoing and full of energy, always keen to play and get involved in whatever is going on around him. Bertie is a busy bee who loves being active and interacting with both people and other dogs. He can be a little timid at times, particularly in new situations, so he will benefit from a patient home that can help him continue to build his confidence, especially when out on walks. With gentle encouragement and positive experiences, he is already showing that he is keen to learn and explore the world. Bertie absolutely loves the company of other dogs and gains a lot of reassurance from having a canine friend around. Because of this, he would really benefit from living with another friendly, confident dog who can help guide him and provide companionship. He could also live with cats. He has shown some signs of separation anxiety and can become distressed when left alone. Because of this, he would be best suited to a home where someone is around for most of the day while he settles in and continues to build his confidence. He has already made great progress in this area. Bertie could live with older, sensible children aged 12 and above who understand how to be calm and respectful around dogs. He is such a lovely little dog with so much character, and in the right home he will make a wonderful, fun-filled addition to the family.
