Jolene

Stunning Jolene is a truly striking girl, with the most spectacular ears and a look that turns heads wherever she goes. But it’s not just her appearance that makes her special — she’s an intelligent, affectionate young dog with so much potential in the right home. Jolene is a sensitive soul who found life overwhelming in her previous home. She formed an extremely strong attachment to her owner, which led to severe separation anxiety. As her anxiety increased, she began to show reactive behaviours towards strangers, both in the home and out on walks. Since arriving with us Jolene has not displayed any of these behaviours, she is much more relaxed and we are beginning to see the incredible dog she really is underneath her anxiety. One thing that truly brings Jolene to life is other dogs. She absolutely loves canine company and is currently thriving with our daycare family, where she spends time socialising and playing. Being around other dogs is key to her happiness and confidence, and we are looking for a home with at least one confident, well-balanced resident dog to help guide and reassure her. (She has not yet been cat tested.) Jolene will need a home where someone is around for most of the day, at least initially, to continue working on her separation anxiety and help her build independence gradually and positively. She is young, bright, and full of energy. An active home is essential — ideally with adopters who have experience of working breeds or high-drive dogs. She loves playing with balls and would likely excel at activities such as flyball or other dog sports that give her both mental and physical stimulation. Jolene could live with older, sensible teenagers aged 16+, and she has previously been around younger visiting children. She is an absolutely gorgeous girl who has quickly stolen hearts here — if we could, the staff would all take her home themselves! With the right guidance, structure, and companionship, Jolene has the potential to be an incredible addition to a committed and understanding home.
