Rory

Meet Rory, a lively and affectionate boy bursting with personality and ready to find a forever home of his own. Having likely spent much of his early life in kennels, Rory missed out on some early socialisation, which means he can still find walks a little overwhelming at times. However, he’s made brilliant progress with his training and is continuing to build positive associations out and about. Rory is still walked wearing a muzzle, but thanks to the fantastic progress he’s made, we believe he could potentially live with a well-matched dog following successful introductions and a careful settling-in period. We’re looking for a home that can continue supporting Rory on his training journey, ideally somewhere with access to quieter walking routes while he continues to build his skills. Rory could live with older children of 16+ who are confident around boisterous and excitable dogs. He can sometimes get himself a little overwhelmed which can lead to mouthing behaviours, so will need some positive guidance in this area to help him learn to make better choices. Rory has spent time in a home where he was mostly housetrained; however, he may need some support with this as he settles back into home life. He can find being left alone quite stressful and much prefers to have people around. For this reason, he would do best in a home where he won’t be left for long periods and can gradually learn to relax and settle on his own.
