Billy

Meet Billy – a sweet, energetic young dog with a heart full of love and a bucketful of potential. Billy originally came to us with his siblings from another rescue. He has been rehomed previously but has sadly ended up in our care again. He was described by previous owners as playful, affectionate, and full of energy – sometimes perhaps a little too much, especially around other dogs. Back with us, Billy has been a fun and loving personality. He’s still learning how to interact appropriately as he missed out on some early socialisation. His play can be mouthy and over-the-top, but he’s making great progress with training and is eager to learn. He’ll need owners who are prepared to continue that work and understand he’s a bit of a project – but a very rewarding one. We believe Billy is a Lurcher x Belgian Shepherd, so he’ll need plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He can be unsure in new situations, such as stairs or busy traffic, but with time and patience, he’s learning to be brave. He will therefore require a private garden. Billy is looking for a dedicated, loving home – one that understands the needs and drive of a high-energy young dog, and is committed to help him grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. Billy would greatly benefit from some extracurricular activities and training. If you’re ready to give your heart to a dog who just needs a chance, Billy might be the one for you.
