Lenny

Lenny is a 4-year-old small sized American Bulldog cross. Lenny is currently in our kennels in Wrexham, North Wales. Lenny is a 4-year-old American Bulldog cross with a sweet and gentle nature. Although a little unsure when meeting new people, once he feels safe, he blossoms into a playful, affectionate boy who loves nothing more than a good toy session! If you are happy to throw a squeaky toy for him all day long then you will very quickly make a new best friend. He really is a gem with so much potential. Lenny is crate trained and finds comfort in having a safe space of his own. He’s also house trained and keeps his environment clean, making him a joy to have around the home. He travels well in the car, making him a great buddy for road trips or vet visits without the stress, in fact he seems to get more excited about being In the car than the actual walk! He’s shown himself to be neutral and polite with other dogs when out and about on a walk, and seems disinterested in cats, but would be best as the only pet in the home, Lenny can be a little pushy in certain situations, particularly when asked to do something he’s unsure about – a trait that’s not unusual for his breed. Because of this, a confident, calm owner would really help him thrive. Previous experience with American Bulldogs or similar breeds would be helpful, though it isn’t essential. With all the change he’s experienced lately, he’s bound to be a little confused and would really flourish in a stable, loving environment where he can feel safe and settled again. Lenny is neutered, vaccinated, flea and wormed. Once we have received your application this will be reviewed by our dog team and if you are a suitable match one of our volunteers will be in touch within 7 days to discuss your application in more detail. You will then be invited to meet the dog, and we encourage 2-3 meet & greets for you to get to know your chosen dog, we are happy to introduce you to multiple dogs on the day of they are suitable matches. We do request all household members attend meet & greets including resident dogs. If successful we will request a home check at this stage along with proof of identification and address. We will require written permission from a landlord for all applicants in rented accommodation.
