Hello, I'm Tiegan and I am looking for a home where I can live out the rest of my days. I have had a lot of changes over the last few months where my original owner who bred me sadly passed away, the extended family couldn't keep me and then I got rehomed by the lovely people here at the NAWT. Unfortunately, due to no fault of mine, my new owners can not keep me as they have developed some health issues. I am currently staying with them until a new suitable home is found, and am being well looked after and cared for so I don't mind too much!I am a lovely older girl, very gentle and very loving once I know you and have got over some initial shyness, and am in fact a little more social than my brother Scout that you may have seen is also looking for a new home - you can just tell that we have been really cared for over the years. I had been feeling a bit shell shocked what with all of these major changes that have happened, but I am now starting to feel much more relaxed and my fantastic character is shining through. I will stick to you like glue, give you paw, and will roll over for belly rubs all day long. Everyone adores me!I love my food and I also love a real fuss so I wont stray far away from my owner. I walk beautifully on the lead and have great recall skills. I do bark a bit when first let out in the garden or if the door bell goes, or when I see another dog. I can pass other dogs out on my walks but I wouldn't like to live with another one. I haven't lived with cats before but that might be a possibility.I had piled on the pounds but am slowing loosing some weight with a good diet and exercise, and I am a little arthritic now in my shoulder so am on some pain medication to help me. I have the most beautiful coat that will need some care and maintenance, but I have been used to visiting the groomers regularly so don't mind a pamper. I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time in the garden so am really hoping my new home has lots of outdoor space too. I am good as gold to leave in the house and just settle down for another snooze - as I am a bit older now I do tend to spend quite a bit of time sleeping!Although I have been living with my brother Scout I am regularly walked by myself and when I was here at NAWT I stayed in a kennel by myself and I actually enjoyed the peace and quiet so I think I will enjoy some time to myself from now on.
