Ellie

Ellie is a young Spaniel looking for a calm, patient forever home where she can continue to grow in confidence. She finds new experiences overwhelming and will need gentle support as she adjusts to life in a new environment. Ellie has made slow but steady progress here at Old Windsor, but it’s likely she will take a few steps back when settling somewhere new. In her temporary foster home she was extremely worried for the first couple of days, but once she began to feel safe her busy, playful Spaniel nature quickly started to appear. Ellie is housetrained and has enjoyed travelling in the car, but loud noises and traffic are very frightening for her, so she will need a quiet, rural home where she can explore the world at her own pace without fear. She absolutely loves soft toys and tennis balls, and despite her playful streak she always settles down calmly in her bed at the end of the day. Ellie has met a few different animals while on foster including chickens and cats. She is inquisitive but not shown chase drive so she could possibly live with a dog savvy cat. Ellie will thrive with new owners who can offer consistency and plenty of reassurance as she continues to build her confidence.
