Originally bred for sheep herding in the Anglo-Scottish borders, they have extraordinary energy levels, problem-solving ability, and a strong herding instinct. Tequila is a Border Collie aged 6 years currently in the care of RSPCA. Many Border Collies end up in rescue because owners didn't anticipate the exercise and mental stimulation demands.
