Lola
🐕 MixedPuppyAge unknownManchester, Greater Manchester
Lola is a worried little girl who has already experienced far too many changes in her short life. Having been passed from place to place, she hasn’t yet had the chance to truly settle or feel secure, so it’s no surprise that the world can feel a little overwhelming for her.
When Lola first meets new people, she can be nervous and unsure, and may bark or growl as she tries to work out if she’s safe. What she needs is a patient, understanding home that will give her the time and space to settle at her own pace. Once she begins to trust, her lovely personality really starts to shine through.
Lola has recently spent time in foster where she has settled in beautifully. She travels calmly in the car, is clean in the house, and quickly made herself comfortable in a home environment. She enjoys her creature comforts, loves to curl up on the sofa, and absolutely thrives on being close to her person—whether that’s snuggling up beside you or seeking out reassurance.
She can still be a little unsure with new people and unfamiliar noises, but with gentle reassurance she relaxes quickly. She has a playful side too, enjoying her toys and bursts of zoomies, and she is a clever girl who is already learning and responding well, especially when food is involved.
Lola has previously lived with a male dog and has been friendly with other dogs she’s met. However, for now we are looking for a home with no other pets while we arrange for her to be spayed. She has not had an official cat test but will bark when she sees them on walks so a cat free home would suit her best.
Because of her sensitive nature, Lola is looking for a calm, quiet, adult-only home where she can finally experience the stability she’s been missing. She will need adopters who are happy to continue building her confidence and supporting her as she settles.
With the right home, Lola has so much love to give. She is a very affectionate, loyal little companion who just needs someone willing to believe in her and show her that her forever home really does exist.
Lola will be having X-rays soon to assess her hind legs, as it’s possible she may have hip dysplasia. If surgery is required, the rescue will cover the cost.
