Casper

Casper is a 1-year-old male Husky. He’s currently in foster care in Westbury, Wiltshire, where he’s been settling in over the past few weeks. While his foster carers had hoped to become his forever family, it’s become clear that Casper is absolutely not cat-friendly, which has made it impossible for him to stay. Casper came from a pretty rough background—his previous owners would leave him alone for days at a time. Naturally, that kind of neglect left some scars, but this young lad is already showing resilience. In just a short time, he’s made real progress. He’s learned to take himself off to another room to relax and was even left alone briefly without any issue. That’s a big win for a dog with his history. What Casper really needs now is a very calm, adult-only home with experienced owners who are home most of the day. He needs a bit of time to trust new people, but once he does, he’s incredibly affectionate, bright, and playful. He could potentially live with a calm, spayed female dog of similar size, but he won’t tolerate another male dog in the home. With the right people and a peaceful environment, Casper’s going to be someone’s absolute ride-or-die.
